SSC MTS Eligibility 2026
Who can apply for SSC MTS in 2026 — the age limit, educational qualification, nationality and attempt rules as specified by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Always confirm against the official notification before applying.
SSC MTS (regular non-technical posts)
- Age
- 18-25 years. Age relaxation: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwD +10 yrs, ex-servicemen as per rules.
- Education
- Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from a recognised board. No graduation requirement.
- Nationality
- Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee, or person of Indian origin from specified countries.
Havaldar in CBIC / CBN (recruited under same MTS notification)
- Age
- 18-27 years. Same relaxations as MTS.
- Education
- Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent.
- Nationality
- Same as above.
- Attempts
- Additional PET (Physical Efficiency Test) and PST (Physical Standard Test) for Havaldar — male: 157.5 cm height, 81 cm chest, 1600m run in 15 min; female: 152 cm height, 48 kg weight, 1 km run in 20 min.
