SSC CGL 2026: notification out for 12,256 posts — apply by late June
The SSC CGL 2026 notification is live on ssc.gov.in with about 12,256 Group B & C vacancies and a new sectional timer in Tier 1. The application window closes in late June — here's what to do now.

The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CGL 2026 notification on ssc.gov.in, with reports putting the vacancy count at around 12,256 Group B and Group C posts across roughly 40 post types — including the newly added Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and Assistant Accounts Officer roles. The official PDF and the apply-online link both go live only on ssc.gov.in, never on a coaching site first.
The application window is open for a limited period and is reported to close around 22 June 2026, with a short correction window to follow. Treat any specific date you see elsewhere as unconfirmed until it matches the official notification PDF — a missed deadline cannot be undone, so check ssc.gov.in directly before you rely on a date.
The headline change for 2026 is sectional timing: both Tier 1 and Paper 1 of Tier 2 now run a separate timer per section, so you can no longer pour leftover time from one section into another. That makes timed, section-wise practice more important than ever. Start a free SSC CGL mock in the 2026 pattern below.
Always confirm dates and eligibility on the official site before you act.
