Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) · Exam family

UPSC all exams,
one place.

The Union Public Service Commission is India's central recruiting agency, established under Article 315 of the Constitution. It conducts roughly a dozen recruitment exams every year for the most prestigious Group A and Group B Gazetted Officer posts — from the Civil Services (IAS, IPS, IFS) to defence officer cadres (CDS, NDA), engineering services (ESE), medical services (CMS), economic services (IES/ISS), forest service (IFoS) and armed police forces (CAPF AC). UPSC retains the classical Prelims → Mains → Interview structure inherited from the colonial-era Indian Civil Service exam.
