SSC exam-centre cancellations 2026: what affected candidates should do
SSC cancelled exams at several centres in 2026 over server failures and overcrowding, with re-exams scheduled. Here's how affected candidates can protect their attempt.

During the 2026 cycle, the Staff Selection Commission cancelled examinations at several centres after technical failures, server issues and reported overcrowding โ including SSC GD Constable shifts at centres in Uttar Pradesh (Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur) and Bihar, and earlier SSC MTS shift cancellations. Affected candidates were scheduled for re-examination on fresh dates, with new admit cards issued for the rescheduled slots.
The official position is that genuinely affected candidates are not penalised: SSC re-conducts the exam for them and issues a fresh admit card on ssc.gov.in. Do not act on social-media lists of 'cancelled centres' โ confirm your own status and rescheduled date from the official notice and your candidate login only.
These disruptions are stressful, but a rescheduled date is also extra preparation time. Keep your timed practice going so a new exam date works in your favour rather than against it โ take a free SSC mock on Kamiyab below.
Always confirm dates and eligibility on the official site before you act.
