The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final result of CDS I 2026. Lohitaksh Mahajan is ranked first in the merit lists for all three academies. The result covers candidates who took the written test and then faced the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview conducted by the Ministry of Defence.
Written exam date: April 12, 2026; Exam shifts: three (English first, General Knowledge second, Elementary Mathematics third); Candidates recommended for Indian Military Academy, Dehradun: 155; Other academies: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying Training Course); Merit basis: combined marks of the written test and the SSB interview; Topper: Lohitaksh Mahajan.
The Commission has said that medical examination results were not considered while drawing up the final merit list. It has also noted that some candidates appear in the lists of more than one academy.
Selection is not yet final for anyone on the lists. Each recommended candidate's candidature stays provisional until the authorities concerned verify their date of birth and educational qualifications.
Individual marks will not be released right away. As per reports, the Commission will put candidates' marks on its website only after it declares the final result for the Officers' Training Academy (OTA) course under the same examination.
