NEET (UG) — single paper

Mode: Offline, pen-and-paper (OMR-based), one day, single shift
Sections: Physics (45 Q) · Chemistry (45 Q) · Biology = Botany (45 Q) + Zoology (45 Q)
Questions: 180 compulsory questions (no optional / Section B since 2025)
Marks: 720 (each question 4 marks)
Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours) — no sectional time limit
Negative marking: +4 for a correct answer, -1 for a wrong answer, 0 for unattempted

Conducted in 13 languages (English, Hindi and 11 regional languages). Tie-break order for ranking: higher Biology marks, then Chemistry, then Physics, then a lower proportion of wrong-to-correct answers across all subjects, then a computerised random draw.
