नोटिफ़िकेशन में कट-ऑफ़ तिथि पर Open Market अभ्यर्थियों के लिए 21 से 30 वर्ष। Agents Category: 21 से 35 वर्ष (आमतौर पर), निर्दिष्ट business performance के साथ 3-5 साल की निरंतर agency के अधीन। Employee Category: सेवा मानदंड पूरे करने वाले पुष्ट LIC कर्मचारियों के लिए 21 से 45 वर्ष। आयु में छूट: SC/ST +5 वर्ष, OBC (non-creamy layer) +3 वर्ष, PwBD श्रेणी छूट के ऊपर और अतिरिक्त +10 वर्ष, भूतपूर्व सैनिक Government of India मानकों के अनुसार।

भारत का नागरिक, या Nepal या Bhutan का नागरिक, या 1 January 1962 से पहले स्थायी रूप से बसने के इरादे से भारत आया तिब्बती शरणार्थी, या भारत में स्थायी रूप से बसने के लिए निर्दिष्ट देशों से प्रवास करके आया भारतीय मूल का व्यक्ति। ग़ैर-भारतीय नागरिकों को Government of India से पात्रता प्रमाणपत्र प्रस्तुत करना होगा।

प्रयासों पर कोई औपचारिक सीमा नहीं — आयु स्वाभाविक सीमा है। हाल की साइकिलों में आवेदन शुल्क: General/EWS/OBC के लिए लगभग Rs 600 और SC/ST/PwBD अभ्यर्थियों के लिए Rs 100 (intimation charges)। पुष्ट चयन के लिए अभ्यर्थी को LIC की pre-employment medical परीक्षा और field-readiness verification भी पास करनी होगी।
