Pick your stream early — by the time the notification drops in November, you should already have 4-6 months of Professional Knowledge preparation behind you. Professional Knowledge is now the deciding weight at BOTH stages — it carries 50 marks in Prelims and 100 marks (the only scoring Mains section) in Mains, plus the 80% Mains weightage in final merit. A candidate who is weak in Professional Knowledge will not make the final cut, regardless of common-section scores.

Agricultural Field Officer स्ट्रीम: B.Sc. Marketing स्ट्रीम: Philip Kotler की Marketing Management में नींव जमाएँ — 4Ps, सेवाओं के लिए 7Ps, STP, BCG मैट्रिक्स, Ansoff। डिजिटल मार्केटिंग के फ़ंडामेंटल्स (SEO, SEM, social media, CRM) जोड़ें क्योंकि हाल के पेपर डिजिटल की ओर झुके हैं। बैंकिंग-विशिष्ट मार्केटिंग — cross-selling, रिटेल बैंकिंग प्रोडक्ट, liability बनाम asset प्रोडक्ट के लिए कस्टमर जर्नी — ज़्यादा आती है।

Rajbhasha Adhikari stream: Hindi literature (Hindi Sahitya Ka Itihaas by Ramchandra Shukla / Acharya Hazari Prasad Dwivedi), Hindi grammar (Vasudevnandan Prasad / Kamta Prasad Guru), translation practice (50+ banking-domain English-to-Hindi and reverse translations), and Rajbhasha policy documents (Official Languages Act 1963 and Rules 1976 — read in original). Practice typing in Mangal / Krutidev fonts. Note the Mains descriptive paper (2 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes) now applies to ALL streams — but for Rajbhasha it also demands strong Hindi essay-writing and translation practice on banking themes.

सामान्य-सेक्शन की तैयारी (Reasoning, English, Quant या GA) IBPS PO Prelims जैसी ही रणनीति पर चलती है — पर हल्की, क्योंकि Mains पर Professional Knowledge हावी रहता है। परीक्षा से 6 हफ़्ते पहले से हर हफ़्ते 2 Prelims मॉक दें, और आख़िरी महीने में इसे बढ़ाकर हर हफ़्ते 3-4 करें। Professional Knowledge की गहराई की क़ीमत पर सामान्य सेक्शन में ज़रूरत से ज़्यादा निवेश न करें।
