Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Single CBT for both Grade C and Grade D. English Language section has double weightage (100 questions) because the role requires strong language skills.
Stage 2: Skill Test in Shorthand (Qualifying)

- Grade C: 100 wpm dictation for 10 min, transcription 40 min (English) / 55 min (Hindi). Grade D: 80 wpm dictation for 10 min, transcription 50 min (English) / 65 min (Hindi).

Skill Test is conducted only for candidates who clear the CBT cutoff. Failed transcription quality / speed = disqualification regardless of CBT marks.
